Did you see the man of the match award they just gave to sexton. It looks like something you could stick up your arse.

Re: The Munster Rugby Thread
Its the big one today. Munster verses the Northampton Saints. Lose this and the chances of making it out of the group are fairly poor. Can Munster win again in fortress Thomond or are the good days of latter stage European rugby over for them. They have some crucial injuries and I feel this one is too close to call but I'll give it to Munster by a whisker.

Re: The Munster Rugby Thread
Once again a grandstand finish in Thomond park for a Heineken cup match. Once again Munster dig deep to come out with the win. Once again its Ronan O Gara who gets the pressure kick at the death. Next Saturday its Castres away which will be every bit as tough if not tougher considering how difficult it is to beat them at home.
Its been a good weekend for Irish Rugby in general with Ulster beating ASM Clermont Auvergne at home and Leinster drawing away against Montpelier. The only province that lost was Connacht on Friday after going down to a Harlequins side after a spirited performance at the Stoop in what was their first ever match in the competition. Next up for them is Toulouse in the show-grounds!

I have a gut feeling they wont get out of their group. I hope I'm wrong but there are still a lot of very big asks ahead.

I agree, but fuck it, they'll give it a good go. At least Earls and hopefully Jones will be back for the re-match at Franklin Gardens.

At least their are no fresh injuries . Castre have moved the game and ceded home advantage opting to play their game against Munster in the 18,754 capacity Stade Ernest-Wallon rather than their own Stade Pierre Antoine which has a capacity of 10,000.
The atmosphere should be fairly intense as a result.

Re: The Munster Rugby Thread
Opposing teams must be well pissed off with ROG at this stage since he is making a habit of drop kicking the winner in the last play of the game. They look a better bet to qualify for the next round now but Lenister are surely the favourites to win outright.

Re: The Munster Rugby Thread
Once again pure class out of ROG to win it at the death. Looking more likely to get out of the group especially considering Northampton are moving the Munster game to the MK Dons stadium. Still dont think they will win it but the further they go the better when you are a team in transition.

Poor enough loss in the Rabo but as usual the eyes are on the bigger prize.
Stringer off on loan to Saracens and good luck to him after being imo badly treated in the Munster set up for a while. Hope he has a stormer.

6-3 to Northampton at the minute. Mafi at fault after a terrible offload and Munster driven back in the scum resulting in a penalty.
